Tap:
The most rhythmic of all forms of dance. Students are introduced to tap at a young age to develop musicality; it promotes quickness and precision in the latter levels. Class consists of barre work or center, progressions, and combinations each week.  Focus will be on technique, expression, and clarity.

Ballet/Technique:  Classical ballet consisting of barre, center work, combinations and variations. The class stresses proper body alignment, technique and control. Ballet is the back bone of all forms of dance
.

Acrobatics:
Acrobatics combines the control and skill of gymnastics with the beauty of dance and contortion work.  Strength, coordination and flexibility are major components of Acrobatics.  Students will progress through levels beginning with tricks such as front rolls, and progressing through to aerial work.

Hip Hop:  Hip Hop incorporates many aspects of jazz and acrobatics along with up-to-date styles such as Pop, Lock, Break and Freestyle.  Teachers will use upbeat (age appropriate) funky music for warm-ups, across the floor progressions and center floor combinations.

Jazz:  Focuses on elements of weight, rhythm, flexibility and movement qualities.  Classes will begin with a center floor warm-up, isolations and stretching, across the floor technique and combinations and finally center floor combinations that will combine all aspects/styles of jazz dance (i.e. Classical, Musical, Street, African and Latin).

Lyrical:  Lyrical is a combination of Jazz and Ballet technique with modern or contemporary dance moves incorporated. Lyrical is based from a story line created by the choreographer, lyrics of a song or by other stimuli. It is usually performed to slower paced music and expresses emotion not only through the movements but in the dancers performance and expression.

Contemporary:  Is not a specific dance technique, but a collection of methods developed from modern and post-modern dance and can take on many forms.

Breakin', HH, Pop & Lock:  Breaking is a street dance style that evolved as part of the hip hop movement.
